WTF Book Talk At Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival - Lunch Ladies Demand Front Row Seats And Swag Bags

Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival

The Lunch Ladies are demanding front row seats and swag bags after learning that their writer/producer, Clarissa Jacobson, will be holding two talks at the Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival based on her book "I Made A Short Film Now WTF Do I Do With It (a guide to film festivals, promotion, and surviving the ride).

Ms. Jacobson penned her WTF book after the director of Lunch Ladies, JM Logan, told her she should write down everything she learned about the arduous task of taking two manipulative Lunch Ladies to over 120 film fests across the world, garnering more than 100 positive reviews, 42 awards, and gold standard distribution.

Jacobson, being contrary, argued she didn't want to slave over a book ("ugh, so much work, you write it") but changed her mind when she realized it would be good for her mental health to b*tch about the Lunch Ladies in print.

After learning that Jacobson had written a tell-all book and was invited to Clermont-Ferrand Festival without them*, the Lunch Ladies made their outrageous demands. Undaunted, Ms. Jacobson immediately contacted Clermont-Ferrand Festival security who confirmed the Lunch Ladies will be denied entry and that there will be "no sweet a*s VIP french swag now or ever for the Lunch Ladies."

Clarissa's free talks will be on:

Monday, February 3 for members of the Short Film Conference - invitation only

Wednesday, February 5 for all accredited Short Film Market attendees

Details can be found HERE

*The Lunch Ladies were programmed under duress at Clermont-Ferrand in the gastronomy section in 2018 for the festival's 40th year.
