The Lunch Ladies are hopeful after scoring a screening at "Scares That Care" Charity Weekend that Satan will recognize their good deed and give them back their black souls.
The Charity, in its fifth year, raises money for organizations that treat sick children and families with a child affected by illness, burns or women fighting breast cancer. The Lunch Ladies are 100% behind these causes and also felt it was a good opportunity to score a "get out of hell" pass.
Said Seretta, trying on nun habits that she plans to wear to the event: "We've done some really bad stuff. The only way we're ever going to avoid the fires of hell and get our filthy souls back is if Satan sees that we're helping out this awesome charity. Lou, how does this crucifix look?"
LouAnne, fresh from the shower after trying to scrub the evil out of herself, gaped: "Rett! Take that off! What are you thinking? Satan will see right through the nun ruse. He wasn't born yesterday. All we need to do is show up, hang out, and raise some money for a worthy cause. If we do that, he'll know we still have some goodness left in our worm-infested hearts. Amen."
Scares That Care Film Festival runs Friday and Saturday, August 3 and 4 at the Doubletree by Hilton in Williamsburg, VA.
The Lunch Ladies play Saturday, August 4 at 8:15pm in Shorts Block 3!
