Stop the Presses! - WTF Book Translated into Indonesian

Stop the presses!

The book I Made A Short Film Now WTF Do I Do With (a guide to film festivals, promotion, and surviving the ride) penned by Lunch Ladies producer and writer, Clarissa Jacobson, has now been translated into Indonesian by the Minikino Film Festival out of Bali.

A large filmmaking community exists in the country and the festival programmers with Minkino Studio and Yayasan Kino Media were excited to get the rights to publish the book to help Indonesian short filmmakers with promotion and marketing

Unfortunately, the narcissistic Lunch Ladies have made it all about them.

Researching how to illegally transport an Indonesian Komodo Dragon to her PO Box so she can keep it as a pet, Seretta took a breather from the intensive work to explain: “Sure, the Indonesians are going to learn tons from the book, but who cares? The important thing is we’re mentioned 130 times in it. Right Lou?”

LouAnne, illegally spray painting “Indonesians Rock” on their unsuspecting next door neighbor’s fence, took a quick huff of the paint can then nodded with glazed eyes: “Exactly. Our advice to the Indonesians is to take a sharpie and black out all that filler that Clarissa wrote that explains how to do sh*t. You’ll then be left with two amazing words - Lunch Ladies.”

Ms. Jacobson, when asked about her feelings on the matter, said:

“First off, I’m beyond thrilled and honored that the book was translated into Indonesian! Second my sincerest apologies for the Lunch Ladies. I didn’t want to reference them at all in the book, but they manipulated me. My advice to the Indonesians is to take a sharpie and black out the words Lunch Ladies leaving all the important information. Thank you.”

Minikino Monthly Screening & Discussion is a year-round short film festival based in Bali, that the Lunch Ladies had the pleasure of screening in December of 2021.
