Murder is one thing, stealing a cat who has her own Instagram page is another. What kind of sick monsters would do something like that?
It's long been known that the Lunch Ladies are cat ladies having been quoted "Cats rule, people suck. Except for The Depper and Leatherface." The Lunch Ladies currently own five cats: Johnny, Officer Hanson, JD, Rango and Cry Baby. But they wanted a sixth.
When they started casing Mimi Le Mieux's Instagram - Kate Northington, cat coordinator at The Pixie Project, a nonprofit organization that rescues animals, was concerned.
"We have so many beautiful cats and dogs up for adoption but the Lunch Ladies were only interested in Mimi. Mimi is our official shelter cat. I knew something was weird about those Lunch Ladies when they came in because they demanded "We need that cat. We wanna name her Scissorhands."
"When I went to help a nice family pick out the perfect pet, Seretta tried to get Mimi to jump into her Johnny Depp Jack Sparrow Handbag (tags still on) by bribing her with a decapitated mouse. Mimi was disgusted. LouAnne then whipped out a flute and tried to get her to follow her like the Pied Piper. Mimi looked at her like she was insane. Out of luck, they attempted to snatch her but the other animals started barking and hissing. (Mimi's pretty popular around the shelter). That's when I came running. Both Lunch Ladies tried to act innocent saying "We didn't know it was your cat."
The Pixie Project is a non-profit animal adoption center and rescue. They offer a variety of services to the public including but not limited to: pet adoption services, pet owner education and support and low cost and free spay and neuter and veterinary services for homeless and low-income pet owners.
Mimi Le Mieux is the official shelter cat at Pixie Project in Portland, Oregon. Her hobbies include looking at herself in the mirror and saving animals.
